New Moths Found on 31 August 2008

Forward to 21 September 2008, back to 2 August 2008 moth page, to general moths page.

A plague of Yellow Underwings, like cockroaches in the trap (again, all of Large Yellow Underwings, Broad-bordered Yellow Underwings and Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwings).  Otherwise there were a few Light Brown Apple Moths, Square-spot Rustics, Setaceous Hebrew Characters and Garden Carpets, then one each of Common Marbled Carpet, the rather lovely Small Emerald, Scalloped Oak, Flame Shoulder, Common Wainscot, the enormous Old Lady and an Orange Swift.

Those worth photographing were:

Angle Shades Oak Beaty Agg. Green Carpet Stenoptilia platyptilia Acleris forsskaleana Copper Underwing Agg. Copper Underwing Agg. Eudonia angustea
